Under the financial support of the Polish Ministry of Education and Science and IGCP 710 Programme, we can offer conference grants to young scientists who would like to participate in the 36HKT Workshop taking place in Krakow on June17–24.
TO WHOM THE SUPPORT IS ADDRESSED
PhD students and scientists up to six years after receiving PhD degree.
TYPES OF FUNDING
We offer two types of grants:
Grant A: funding covers fees of short course and plenary session and four-nights’ accommodation in Krakow, 16–19 June.
In detail, Grant A includes:
– covering the 36HKT conference fee (realized as a conference fee waiver), which involves participation in conference sessions, Icebreaker party, coffee breaks and lunches,
– covering of one of the short course,
– coverage of accommodation costs in Kraków (for 4 nights, between 16th and 19th June) in a hotel provided by the organizers.
Grant B: funding covers five-day field trip, 20–24 June, 2024.
In detail, Grant B includes:
– covering the five-day field trip fee, which involves transport, accommodation and meals
– coverage of accommodation costs in Kraków for the duration of the plenary session (for 4 nights, between 16th and 19th June) in a hotel provided by the organizers. The applicant should cover the conference fee (180 EUR).
Travel costs
Additional funding is provided for researchers from developing countries to cover part of their travel expenses. The amount of funding will be agreed upon individually.
We are unable to reimburse visa-related costs.

- Do not make any payment until you will receive an e-mail about the Organizers’ decision.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATIONS
In order to receive funding, it is required to submit a conference abstract to the 36HKT Workshop.
In awarding IGCP grants, preference will be given to scientists who are already involved in the IGCP 710 Project.
An additional advantage, to be considered when allocating grants, will be declaration of submitting an article to the Geotourism journal in the next months after awarding the grant. The specific information for authors can be found under:
